The Best Wig out there (Update)

New review alert: So, I tried to work some magic with heat on this hair, you know, like straightening it, but dang, it just didn’t vibe well with that. Ended up looking like a bird’s nest at the ends, not a good look!

But hey, let’s give props where it’s due: this wig is pretty solid from top to bottom. Lace? Check. Length? Check. And bonus points for no funky smell or shedding. Plus, I decided to spice things up and throw some color on the top, and guess what? It took like a champ in just 30 minutes. Can I get a heck yeah for that?

So, I recently got a really bad haircut, and it was a disaster. I needed something quick to fix it up, so I decided to try out a new wig. I picked this one mainly because of the color—it’s absolutely gorgeous. When I first took it out of the package, it felt super soft, which was a relief.

Now, I’m still getting used to this whole balayage thing. It’s all the rage right now, but honestly, sometimes those bleached bits look like a kid went crazy with some bleach. The wig claims it’s pre-plucked, but I had to do some extra thinning around the front and part area because it was just too bulky for my liking. I also had to bleach the roots a bit to make them match my fair skin tone better.

Even though it’s supposed to be human hair from young donors, it feels oddly fine—almost like a yak blend, which is weird. But hey, it does say it’s human hair, so I guess that’s that. People seem to love it though—I get compliments left and right, especially on how the color suits my skin tone.

I bought the 13 x 4 lace front version, but it’s not glueless, unfortunately. I’ve tried a bunch of ways to make the lace blend in better, but nothing seems to work perfectly. On the bright side, there’s hardly any shedding, which is a win for me. I read some reviews that complained about shedding, but this wig has held up pretty well in that department.

Overall, I’d rate it a solid 4.5 stars. In fact, I liked it enough to buy a second one, just to switch things up. Considering how crazy expensive wigs can be—like upwards of $3000—finding one that looks good, feels good, and gets you compliments for under $100 is a steal.
