Got a new wig and a used wig

So, I bought this twine because the first wig I got was amazing—brand new, thick, and perfect. I absolutely adored that wig. Unfortunately, my niece decided to do some impromptu hairstyling and cut off a lot of the hair. So, I had to order a second one.

The second wig arrived in a totally different package, and it was clear it had been used and returned. It was a bit tangled, and the curls were all wonky. Now, I’m a cosplayer who wears wigs every day, so I knew I could fix these issues with a little time, a comb, some pins, and some conditioning wig spray. Despite the setbacks, it’s still really thick and nice for the price I paid.

However, the fact that I received a used wig the second time around is why it lost a star from me.

Just like the product photos above.

Alright, let’s give this a go:

Hey, listen up! So, let me tell you about the wild ride of ordering wigs online. Usually, I stick to my local wig shop, but lately, they’ve been coming up short on what I’m after. So, I thought, why not take a peek at Amazon? I’ve dabbled in wig-shopping on there before, got a bunch of styles saved up in my wish list. You could say I’m a bit of a “wig connoisseur” – been rocking and collecting them since 2015. Now, you might be wondering, why’s all this backstory important? Well, here’s the scoop: I’ve recently been dealing with some hair loss. Mind you, I never had luscious locks to begin with. At 28, my hair’s always been thin, fine, and about as good at holding a curl as a wet noodle. That’s where wigs come to the rescue! With a wonky hormone situation causing my hair to bail on me, wigs have become my saving grace.

Now, let me rave about this wig I got. It’s a total game-changer, defying all expectations of what a wig can do! It’s soft, nails the perfect color, and the length? Well, let’s just say it’s longer than my usual, which I dig. Though, I’ll probably have to trim it eventually, ’cause, you know, wear and tear. Oh, and yeah, there’s a tad bit of shedding. But hey, shedding’s subjective, right? I barely notice it, but your mileage may vary. Bottom line: for the price, this wig’s worth a shot! And bonus points, it showed up earlier than expected – score!

Oh, and quick heads up – I threw in some dry shampoo in the video up there ’cause the wig’s got a bit of that plastic smell. But hey, it’s nothing major, and it actually tames those pesky flyaways. Seriously though, I’m head over heels for this wig! 10 outta 10, would wig again!

In love with this wig! (You may not get the same as me! )

So, a while back, I decided to snag two more of this wig, like, separately, ya know? But man, oh man, when those babies arrived, it was a total bummer. They were nowhere near as awesome as the original one I fell in love with. Major letdown.

So, here’s the lowdown on the differences: first off, the color’s kinda more like an ombré thing going on. It’s still cool, but the top part? Yeah, it’s more brown than that natural red vibe I was vibing with before. And the hair ain’t as long or lush. Plus, forget about clipping the sides back like I did in that photo I uploaded. The stitching’s all out there, making it look like a DIY disaster.

I mean, don’t get me wrong, it’s still a decent wig. But now, it’s pretty much a one-trick pony. Can’t even rock it on stage ’cause it’s all up in my grill, casting shadows like it’s auditioning for a horror flick.

Honestly, if I could, I’d buy like, five more of the OG wig. That thing was straight-up perfection. 😭

Original Review? Yeah, back then, I scooped up this wig for this musical I’m doing. And lemme tell ya, it’s fire and easy on the wallet! Everybody’s been giving me props, saying stuff like, “Girl, your hair is on point! Is that real?”

But here’s the deal, it’s crazy long, which means it’s a tangling machine. Just like any other wig, really. Gotta put in the work to keep it lookin’ fly.

After a bunch of wears, with all the hustle and bustle on stage, the tangles were outta control. So, I thought, why not give it a little TLC with some conditioner? Worked like a charm before on other wigs, right? Nope. Big mistake. That wig went from fab to drab real quick.

But hey, silver lining, it’s so cheap I just copped another one! Thinking of giving the botched-up one a trim to salvage what’s left.

Overall, still gotta give it props. Totally recommend it! Oh, and by the way, in that pic I uploaded, I had the sides clipped up so my face wasn’t hiding. But even with the natural look, it’s still a winner!

Great wig, just not what I was looking for.

Sure thing! Here’s a rephrased version in a more casual, conversational style:

“Get exactly what you ask for. You order it, we deliver it, no messing around.”

    Excellent value!

This wig was awesome for the price! Super soft and easy to deal with. My daughter needed it for her senior pictures since she has short hair. She was bummed she couldn’t grow it out in time, but her natural hair is crazy thick and heavy, so short is her go-to. I snagged this wig because it kinda matched her brown hair’s highlights, but I didn’t want to splurge since we only needed it for a few pics. I was worried cheap wigs look, well, cheap, but this one surprised me—it’s way better than some I’ve paid nearly $50 for!

Check out the pics: one shows her natural hair length, and the other has the wig added in. Both taken the same day. I didn’t pull the wig all the way to her forehead like most folks do, ’cause without a lace front, you can spot the difference between natural hair and wig, making it seem fake. This one wasn’t as bad as some, but it’s still not as natural as the model’s pic.

I pulled some of her natural hair forward and pinned it to the wig’s sides and underneath, where the wig cap’s weave grabbed her hair. It gave her a half-up ‘do look, and it turned out great! Looks totally natural, and the wig didn’t fuzz or frizz despite all the brushing, pinning, and styling. It even held up outdoors in wind and humidity. Surprisingly good wig for the price!

    Beautiful

Wow, check out this wig! It’s so pretty. I spent some time plucking the part and the front to give it that more natural vibe. Wish it had some clips though, both in the front and back would’ve been perfect. But hey, it does the job!

Got a new wig and a used wig

I had to snag another one of these twines because my first wig was in primo condition—thick, lush, and flawless. I was head over heels for that wig. But, wouldn’t you know it, my niece thought it’d be a grand idea to give it a trim, and suddenly it wasn’t the same. So, here comes round two. The packaging was a dead giveaway that this wig had been around the block; it was all tangled up and just didn’t sit right. Now, I’m no stranger to wig maintenance, being a cosplayer and all. With a little TLC—some combing, pinning, and a spritz of conditioning spray—I could get it back on track. It’s still a steal for the price, considering how thick and lush it is. But the fact that I ended up with a hand-me-down wig the second time around? That’s what docked it a star in my book.

In love with this wig! (You may not get the same as me! )

So, I got more of this wig, right? But let me tell ya, they’re not exactly like the one I fell in love with. I mean, major bummer. When I clicked to reorder from my previous buys, I expected the same deal, ya know?

But nah, these new ones are a bit off. First off, the color’s like some ombré thing going on, which is cool, but it’s more brown at the top instead of that natural red vibe I was vibing with. And the hair? Not as long or thick. Can’t even clip the sides back like I used to ’cause the stitching’s too obvious. It’s still cute, don’t get me wrong, but you gotta keep the hair all the way down.

Forget about using it onstage too, ’cause it just shadows my face. I was seriously thinking of stocking up on these, like, I would’ve bought five more of the original ’cause it was just perfect for me. 😭

The first time around, though, I snagged this wig for a musical I’m in. It’s a total steal, and everyone’s all like, “Wow, your hair is amazing! Is that real?” Yeah, total head-turner. But gotta warn ya, it’s long, and every time you move, it’s a tangling fest. But hey, what wig doesn’t, right?

After a bunch of wears, it started getting a bit ratty. So, I tried conditioning it, like I did with other wigs in the past. Looked great at first, but then it just went all fluffy and tangled even more. Major fail. RIP to that wig.

But good news, it’s cheap enough that I snagged another one. Thinking of giving the messed-up one a trim to salvage it. Still, would totally recommend this wig!

Oh, and in the pic I got the sides clipped up ’cause I needed my face to shine onstage. But even just hanging loose, this wig’s got that natural vibe going strong!
