Wow, this wig is only $13.00, which is a steal. But the synthetic hair is really shiny—not like a Halloween store wig, but not quite like real human hair either. In real life, it’s a bit less wavy than in the product photos, but that doesn’t bother me much. I combed it out with a hair pick right away (it came in a bag, so it was pretty frizzy), which might explain the texture loss. The bangs are easy to style with a comb or some water spray, but I haven’t tried using heat on them yet. It looks pretty good overall, except for the part—it’s one of those round parts at the top of the head that separates the bangs from the rest of the hair. I’m not a fan of those parts. Also, the wig cap is black, which clashes with the cherry-red hair. If you don’t cover your ears, you can see the inside of the wig and the cap, along with your real hair underneath. The wig also has straps to adjust the size, but I never use those on any wig, and they’re just a hassle on this one. Tucking them in is tough because the bangs get caught underneath. Speaking of the bangs, some hair is shorter than the rest, like those clipped inch-long bits that stick out and look terrible unless you hide them somehow. Luckily, they seem to fall out during combing. But overall, as an amateur cosplayer, I wanted a cheap wig that worked, and this one does the job. If you’re more experienced, though, you might want to look elsewhere.
