It’s fading like a dream, totally natural-looking. But here’s the deal: the top part’s kinda bulky. Spent the whole night feeling a tad self-conscious, thinking everyone could clock my wig game. Some folks suggested plucking the hairline to thin it out, but I’m low-key terrified of messing it up, haha! Anyways, for a newbie wig, it’s not too shabby, and the price ain’t half bad either. Perfect for dipping your toes into the wig world, you feel me?

Man, these past couple of years dealing with Long Covid have been rough on my hair. I swear, I’ve shed enough to make a wig out of! So, to deal with the mess, I’ve been rocking the same ol’ messy bun on top of my head every single day. It’s my go-to move to hide all the crazy regrowth action happening underneath.

Then, last week, my sister rolls into town and suggests we take some family photos. Great idea, right? Well, not so much for my hair situation. I mean, what was I supposed to do? Show up with my usual messy bun looking like a hot mess in our precious family pics? Nah, I couldn’t let that happen. I wanted to look like my old self again, you know?

So, here’s where the plot thickens. I remembered this friend of mine who’s been rocking wigs lately and totally slaying the game. I thought, “Hey, why not give it a shot?” So, I took the leap and ordered myself this bomb wig that I’ve been dreaming about.

Fast forward to today, during our little photoshoot shindig. For the first time in what feels like forever, I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror and actually felt kinda pretty. My sister was all hyped, too, saying stuff like, “You’re back, sis!” Man, that felt good.

And get this, everyone who’s seen our family pics has been fooled into thinking it’s my real hair! They’re all like, “Dang, your hair’s looking fire!” Little do they know, it’s all thanks to this amazing wig. I’m telling you, it’s a game-changer. I’m absolutely loving it!

I’m totally digging this! The color is just so rad! (I might just rock this color permanently on my own hair!) It feels amazing on, and I’ve been getting tons of compliments. I’ve been having a blast with this whole hair situation! The only downside is that you can kinda tell it’s not real from the part, but a hat fixes that right up, and it looks adorable!

Wow, check out this wig! It’s totally gorgeous. I spent some time tweaking the part and front to give it a more natural vibe. Only thing is, I kinda wish it had clips both at the front and back for a snug fit. Still, it’s doing the job alright.

First for Everything

So, last night I was just casually browsing on Amazon, you know, doing one of those late-night searches for stuff I might use or want later. I stumbled upon this cute wig for a decent price of $26. My head’s shaved and I’m loving the look, but hey, why not change it up sometimes without breaking the bank, right?

The wig arrived nicely packaged. Although I haven’t worn it out yet, it’s a cute little addition from my spontaneous online shopping spree. The quality seems good – the construction feels solid, and the hair is surprisingly soft. The color looks pretty spot-on too.

I used one of the wig caps that came with it (they included two), and although I’ve never worn a wig before, I think I pulled it off alright. I’m actually thinking of grabbing another color from the same seller in the future. It’s been a fun little experiment!

So, I got two more of this wig a few weeks later, but they’re totally not like the one I originally fell in love with. Man, what a letdown. When I ordered the replacements, I just went through my previous orders and hit “buy again.”

Here’s the rundown on the differences: the color’s kind of ombré now. Still nice, but the top part is more brown, not that natural red vibe. Plus, the hair isn’t as long or thick. I can’t even pin the sides back like in my pic because the stitching stands out like a sore thumb—it’s a mess.

I mean, it’s still a decent wig, but you can pretty much only rock it with all the hair down. Forget about using it onstage—it shadows my face. Wish I’d stocked up on five more of the original ’cause it was just perfect for everything. 😭

After a bunch of wears, the tangles were out of control, so I tried conditioning it (worked before on other wigs). Looked great at first, but then bam! Ends got all frizzy and tangled up even worse. Major fail. But hey, it’s so cheap, I just snagged another one!

Thinking of giving the messed-up one a trim to salvage it. Still, I’d totally recommend this wig! (By the way, in my pic, I’ve got the sides clipped back so my face isn’t hidden onstage. The natural look of this wig is killer!)
